Future of the Past | Lecture of Landscape Architect Lior Wolf
The lecture will take place as part of the first session of the ninth annual conference of landscape architecture, which will be held on Thursday, 3.11.2011 in the IAF house in Herzlyia.
Over sixty years ago, Lipa Yahalom and Dan Tzur established a young landscape design practice. Along the years they have planned together "Kibbutzim", public institutions, campuses for research and education, national park and a lot more. They have left a great mark on the landscape of Israel. In the jubilee celebration of the state of Israel, , Lipa and Dan won the Israel Prize of planning the "Valley of Communities" at "Yad Vashem".
Recently, after more than a decade of joint work, the leadership wand was transferred to Lior Wolf In this lecture we will share the way the generational change has shaped our office, a subject which interests our colleges over the last decade.
The search for ways to preserve the values that were created over the years and to produce a sequence of ideas and designs compatible with the legacy, while regenerating, in a way which will result in creating variable and modern environments.
