Weizmann Institute of Science
Weizmann institute of science, with its scenic beauty, was build on two sandstone hills, since the early days of the city of Rehovot to these days.
Dr Haim Weizmann's vision for the institute was of a wide spread green campus, with lush vegetation, embracing the buildings scattered within, creating a fertile and pleasant work environment.
Our office is in charge of the institute landscape design for over 60 years, and is largely responsible for its scenic character. The topography carves and the open spaces are weaved in to one continuance fabric, creating an elegant suture between the different areas of the campus.
The campus functions on one hand as a basis for the work and residence of the scientists and their families, and on the other hand as a "green lung" in the city of Rehovot, a park inviting the city's residents and outsiders to tour its unique landscape. To create this unique site our work included over the years design of axes, gardens, paths, boulevards to green lush parking areas, observation points ,a science park and more.
