Shazap Maaravi - Hagosh Hagadol, Tel-Aviv
A public "neighborhood" garden in the heart of "Hagosh Hagadol" neighborhood, in the intersection of Bashevis Singer and Jascha Heifetz streets.
The upper part , devoted for a shaded playground for children and toddlers, is surrounded by pergolas and benches whereas its lower part, which in the future, will connect the neighborhood to the northern section of Ibn Gabirol street, is inlaid with fitness facilities and sports activities.
The vegetation is local Israeli and water efficient. The design contains lawns as playing and sitting zones where cesspits for runoff collection were integrated.
The building materials were chosen according to the site's adjacency to the beach and the sandstone ridges, characteristic to the shoreline. The cladding and paving colours are "sandstone".
