Rager Boulevard Beer Sheva

Rager Boulevard Beer Sheva

About the project

The boulevard serves as a dynamic space for walking and lingering, where pedestrian movement is enabled across its entire width, guided by a tactile paving strip that marks an obstacle-free path. Within and adjacent to the boulevard, various-sized plazas known as “Limans” are integrated, creating areas where the pedestrian flow pauses to allow for diverse activities. Along a single kilometer of the street, over 900 trees were planted to improve the micro-climate; together with large pergolas, they provide a continuous shaded environment throughout most hours of the day. The conceptual design for the street’s renewal was developed by the New York-based landscape architecture firm SCAPE, in close collaboration with our office.
