Gestetner Garden Weizmann Institute

About the project

The Gestetner Garden is one of the first gardens established at the Weizmann Institute during the 1960s, designed by the founders of our firm, Yahalom-Zur. The garden features a “hidden valley” characterized by sea rocks, shade trees, winding paths, and expansive lawns. Its unique topography frames a stunning view toward the adjacent Lopaity Building. Facing Weizmann Street—the city’s main thoroughfare—the garden’s southern edge is bordered by the Charles Clore Dormitories, which overlook the lush landscape.

Original Architecture by Arieh Elhanani and Nissan Canaan, 1963. Renovation by Potash Architects.
